The five steps

  1. Pick your project path. Installed project in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach counties, or material-only anywhere else in Florida. The path decides who measures and who permits.
  2. Measure every opening. Width at the top, middle and bottom; height at the left, center and right. Keep the smallest of each and keep the fractions.
  3. Enter the openings in the project builder. Choose the type and configuration, then enter the exact sizes, quantities and options for each opening.
  4. Let the specialist confirm the specification. Sizes and configuration are checked against documented manufacturer limits. Anything outside the evidence goes to specialist review instead of getting a guessed number.
  5. Confirm delivery for your address. Material ships by UPS or freight carrier with a delivery fee based on destination and size. Access, unloading and receiving are settled before the order is final.

What to measure

Record width at three heights and height at three points, keep the smallest of each, and write down what you measured (visible frame, opening after trim removal, block opening). The measurement guide walks through it. Take a photo of each opening while you measure.

Who answers for the measurement

It depends on the path. On installed projects, the measurements you enter start the review and professional measurement confirms final sizes before ordering. Professional installation options available. The licensed contractor responsible for work requiring licensure will be identified in the applicable proposal, contract and permit.

On material-only orders, professional measurement is not included: you provide the confirmed manufacturing sizes, and the sizes you confirm are the sizes built. Resolve any doubt before you order. See material-only supply.

Shipping

Material travels by UPS or freight carrier, and a delivery fee applies based on destination and size. Freight class, unloading equipment, storage and inspection at delivery are worth settling in writing before you order. Region pages list what is specific to each part of Florida: Florida overview, Tampa Bay, Orlando and Central Florida, Jacksonville and Northeast Florida, Southwest Florida, and the shipping guide.

Manufacturing windows

These are manufacturing windows, not delivery dates: they start when an order is confirmed, and measurement, permitting and installation scheduling sit outside them. Your specific window is confirmed during project review. Last confirmed August 24, 2026; a window that has aged is not a cautious estimate, so it carries its date.

Permits and approvals

The permit and the product documentation belong to whoever does the work. Start with permits and inspections, ratings and approvals and, if you live in a condominium or association, association approval.

Questions about ordering online

Can I order impact windows online anywhere in Florida?
You can build a project for any Florida address. Material ships across Florida by UPS or freight carrier, and delivery for your exact address is confirmed during project review. Installation is offered only in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Who is responsible for the measurements on a material-only order?
You are. On material-only orders the sizes you confirm are the sizes manufactured, and professional measurement is not included. Confirm the required manufacturing size with your qualified installer before ordering.
Who pulls the permit on a material-only order?
You or your contractor. The permit is requested from the building department that governs the property, and the product documentation goes with that application.
How long does it take to receive the material?
Typical manufacturing windows are ES Windows (ESW) 40 to 50 days and Mr. Glass 8 to 12 weeks, last confirmed August 24, 2026. These are factory production windows, not delivery dates; measurement, permitting and installation scheduling sit outside them.
What does shipping add?
A delivery fee applies based on destination and size. It is confirmed for your address before the order is final.
What if my opening is unusual or outside the documented limits?
The project is saved and a specialist reads it. If the answer is that no documented product fits, you are told so plainly.
